Watch Sway’s Intro for R’Kelly: “If You Remove this Man from the Music Business History, there are about 1.5 million Babies that would have Never been Made”
Sway recently featured R. Kelly on his ‘In the Morning‘ Shade 45 radio show, and per tradition, Kelly was asked to freestyle and participate in the famous “Five Fingers of Death” freestyle. Believe it or not, Kelly’s free-styling is probably better than you imagined it would be, as he had to show off his crazy vocals over different beats that cuts off abruptly. Those 5 beats changed from on to another without warning sometimes, and if one is not that good, it could really throw the artist off.
During the show, Sway discussed how Kelly has evolved over the years, and what inspired him to write some of the hit songs he did for Michael Jordan’s Space Jame ‘I believe I can Fly‘, and Mohamed Ali’s movie ‘Worlds Greatest‘. Sway also gave Kelly a remarkable and inspiring introduction which highlighted his legendary work and accomplishments over the past 2 decades. Here is how he put it:
“I don’t even know how to intro this men.. I’m never out of lost for words when it come to intros
But if you was to remove this man and his legacy from the music business, maybe there’d be about 100 artist that would never have a career, because
they wouldn’t have a sound that could have took from or been inspired by, to step their careers off the ground.
If you took this man’s legacy out of the music business, artists like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson, Notorious BIG, Aaliyah, and the
list goes on and on again, may not have had the hit records that they had; Sway said
If you remove this man from the music business history, there are about 1.5 million babies that would have never been made
Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the show.. hold up.. 3 Grammy’s.. 20 greatest musical.. etc..”
