A few weeks ago, we shared the news that Bola Tinubu was suing Africa Independent Television (AIT) $150 million for airing the controversial documentary about him. Click here if you missed it!
However, recent reports from The Nation have confirmed that a High Court sitting in Lagos has granted an injunction preventing the parent company of AIT, DAAR Communications from transmitting, airing, or broadcasting the documentary titled “The Lion of Bourdillon” which the former Lagos state governor claims to be defamatory.
According to The Nation’s report:
“The court order will subsist pending the hearing and determination of the interlocutary application filed by the applicant.”
The case has been reportedly adjourned till March 20, 2015.
