Melissa Gates is the wife of Bill Gates, who is currently the richest man in the world, a title he’s held for 16 out of the last 21 years and he’s also valued at $79.2 Billion!
Melissa who is currently in Malawi is heavily involved with philanthropic works for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and during her stay in the East African country, she chose to stay in the village home of a Malawian family rather than stay in a 5 star hotel……unbelievable!!!
In addition, she took part in all the normal activities the villagers were involved with such as fetching drinking water from a stream and carrying the bucket on her head as pictured above and lots more!and washing dirty dishes
Although, some people may say this may just be a publicity stunt, but we think this is humility in one of its highest forms….very few people at her level can carry a bucket of water on their head talk less of shun a 5 star hotel to sleep probably on the floor with a common villager!
