Synopsis
Okoto the Messenger the movie tells the story of Okoto Igwe (Pascal Atuma) and his girlfriend Angelina(JJ Bunny),both born and raised in Africa, lives in America but stuck with the principle of “don’t forget your roots” , and always operating within the African community in America. Boyfriend and girlfriend, a match made in heaven, they both love to have fun at the expense of telling it as it is to their fellow Africans. Okoto travels to Africa and captures living conditions of the close relatives of the other Africans living and enjoying America as if it is their country, forgetting their loved ones at home, and brings it to their face, supported by Angelina 100%, he confronts all of them, face to face, CNN style. Operation get your shit together or we will tell it as it is.
Okoto is busy trying to tell others about their wrong doings, forgetting that he is committing the highest abomination in African culture, living with his girlfriend Angelina when they are not married, not because Angelina doesn’t want to get married, but because Okoto is not ready. Drama meets comedy at a crossroad in this film.
