Gwyneth Paltrow and the frontman of Coldplay, Chris Martin split last March after 10 years of marriage. The decision was mutual and conscious while the couple remained good friends. The “Glee” star reveals for the first time what led to their divorce, in the February 2015 issue of Marie Claire magazine.
The 42-year-old actress, who covers the Magazine’s latest issue, revealed that at one point in their long relationship she “sort of hit a wall”. Paltrow also told the magazine: “I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I really had the sense that I wasn’t allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else.”
Paltrow who also stars in 2015 upcoming film “Mortdecai” with Ewan McGregor, said that the separation was not dramatic and that she and Chris are still quite close. “We ‘ve worked really f-ing hard to get to this point” she said. “I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have”. The beautiful actress has already moved on as she is now dating “Glee” co-creator Brad Falchuk since August.
The couple have 2 children together, 10-year-old daughter Apple Blythe Alison Martin and 8-year-old son Moses Bruce Anthony Martin.
