It was with great pleasure that Golden Icons was opportuned to witness the wedding ceremony of two amiable and great individuals, as they pledged their marital vows in the presence of their friends and family. The wedding ceremony started off at the St Cyril of Alexandria Church, and a key point of interest was the Pastor’s style of preaching which was very realistic and true-to-life. The pastor reminded the couple that in marriage, certain situations may arise where you would naturally not feel love, especially during certain times. The example of Christ was used to further explain, that even when He had every justification to be upset with the world for crucifying Him, He chose to show the greatest degree of love we can ever imagine, and He interceded by calling on His Father in Heaven, to forgive erring mankind, for they do know not what they are doing.
The Pastor deliberately used that example to illustrate that marriage is about making a choice and effort to Love, and that real Love goes beyond something you feel. If you see Love as a feeling, then there will be several times when you will not feel the urge or inkling to love, but when you see Love in the right perspective – as a choice and a personal decision to care for the other, then the couple will be in a better position to experience a truly harmonious marital life.

We cannot but also highlight the presence of a fantastic band from Dallas at the reception, as they were just on-point. The MC “NWA Jesus” also lit up the stage, and made the day a remarkable one. Additionally, we would like to use this opportunity to acknowledge the enormous number of people who purchased copies of the Golden Icons Magazine at the wedding. We appreciate your support, and we say Thank you to you all!
All the weddings I cover usually have its own unique and personal significance to me. However, this one was of special importance, because Golden Icons bombarded this special occasion with a crew of Five professionals (three Videographers, and two photographers) that were stationed at strategic locations, in order to ensure every aspect of the ceremony was well covered.
Lastly, Golden Icons would like to use this medium to thank Uche and Oliver, for allowing us to share and cover this beautiful day with them, and we wish the couple a wonderful and blissful marriage.
