Former Playmate of Playboy, Deborah Driggs told TMZ that Bruce Jenner’s confession about his gender transition will have a tremendous impact on the society and his courage will save lives by taking society’s understanding on transgenderism-related issues to a higher level.
The ex-playmate is a personal friend of Bruce, who came to know him via her ex-husband, another Olympian, Mitch Gaylord who was once the greatest gymnast representing the United States and had scored the record perfect 10 during the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984.
According to TMZ, Deborah broke down in tears after viewing the ABC interview and said that she is grateful about his courage and its impact on the future. Suicide and depressions among the LGBT community, particularly the transgenders are at an all time high, which prompted President Obama to appeal to the end of conversion therapy, a type of therapy that was condemned by the American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychological Association but fully sanctioned by the Churches in America.
