Emem Isong’s New Project

Just when we thought we had seen all there was to Emem Isong, she is at it again! The producer has embarked on her most ambitious project yet, – a dance movie titled ‘I’ll Take My Chances’!

Bola Aduwo had a chat with her and she was intimated on the details; ‘This project is one that is dear to my heart, says Emem, ‘because it is a film that’s centered around dance, which is what I actually specialized in when I was in University. I have always wanted to do a movie that had to do with dance but the right story had always eluded me, until now’.

The main actors in the project are Ini Edo and introducing for the first time on film, heart throb Bryan Okwarra, former Mr Nigeria. (Hmm! I think I like the sound of that casting already!) Also part of the project is an American based actress that’s flying in sorely for this movie! Part of the technical crew is also coming in from the United States so this looks like it’s going to be a big budget movie! I ask the producer, Emem about this and she responded. ‘Well, I’ll just say that this project is gulping alot more than I normally spend on a production but no cost is being spared in making it a very solid production. I won’t talk much about the storyline for now but I will say that I am making a film that Nigerians and indeed Africans will be proud to be identified with’. The film is set to be shown on cinema worldwide and is being directed by Desmond Elliot. Parts of the movie, will be shot in Lagos and some scenic areas in Akwa Ibom and Cross River State.
