Grammy Award winner, Rihanna, is known for her ability to think outside the box, no wonder she has bagged so many notable awards. In recent times, she has proven it once again by launching her own brand of socks.
According to Elle Magazine, the singer has bagged a three-year deal to design socks with Stance Socks for a capsule collection. Her creativity was displayed as her first collection of knee-high, ankle, and crew socks will hit the company’s website in the fall. The designs include a kitchy black-white-and-red pattern featuring newspaper typography and horror movie poster-inspired images.
The “Bitch-Better-Have-My- Money” singer has named her socks line “Murder Rih Wrote”, and it has just three designs on the Stance website for sale. The socks come in packs of three and are meant to be mixed and matched among each other. All are limited edition and numbered, Stance plans to release 18 styles from Rihanna’s collection in September, with a subsequent holiday line to be unveiled in November, E! News reported. Glamour also reported that the over-the knee style will retail for $30 and has a limited run of 1,500. The shorter style will sell for $26, and there will only be 1,000 pairs available.
The vice president of Stance’s women’s division, Candy Harris, said Rihanna was extremely hands-on, Elle reported. She continued by saying “We were blown away with how detail-oriented she was. It was really a dream partnership, and it was amazing to see her at work.”
The singer was named a new Creative Director for the fashion house and will lead the way with a slew of sock designs.
The socks can be found at Stance’s official website. More socks are set to be released as a part of a multi-year partnership between Rihanna and Stance.
