Desmond Elliot, Nollywood star actor cum director and now politician won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly elections taking place today in Nigeria. Click here if you missed it!
Earlier in the day, a picture shown above of the Lagos state House of Assembly hopeful sharing money to woo voters in th state, while surrounded by policemen and others was being circulated by a citizen reporter. But, the authenticity of the picture, including when and where it was taken could not be validated as reported by Vanguard Newspaper.
Desmond Elliot has categorically denied the allegation, stating that he does not need to bribe anyone and tweeting that everyone should stay focused and prayerful while avoiding this distraction:
