The producer that has been working with D’banj after he parted ways with Don Jazzy is DeeVee, with real name Divine Austin. He recently revealed in an exclusive interview that he does not see himself as a replacement for Don Jazzy because he has been able to learn a lot from him.
The music producer said in the interview how he came in contact with D’banj and got to work with the music star after he left the Mavin Records‘ boss.
“One day, he came across me in the studio. That was how we met each other. And, when the Mo Hits split came up, I asked myself where do I stand? I realized working with D’Banj would give me more advantages and leverage. It would also give me knowledge about Nigerian entertainment industry business wise. In fact this is what I needed.
I also got to work with Don Jazzy during Mo Hits era. My experience working with him was awesome as I learned a lot of things. So from there, I could continue from where he stopped with D’Banj. I want to declare to everybody reading this interview that I’m not a replacement for Jon Jazzy.” He said.
Deevee has produced and co-produced songs like, ‘don’t tell me Nonsense’ with J Sleek, ‘Finally,’ ‘Bother You,’ ‘Feeling The Nigga,’ and ‘Omini’ and also produced ‘Sister Caro’ for Kay Switch.
