United States – (Aug. 24, 2011) – “Damage – The Movie” tells the story of love and the pain of domestic violence between a man (Kalu Ikeagwu) and his wife (Uche Jombo) who fight violently, and almost on a daily basis despite the psychological affect on their children. Damage – The Movie will screen nationwide beginning Sept. – Oct., 2011. The Damage Movies, produced by Uche Jombo Studios, is a collection of three distinct but interwoven stories. Aimed at advocacy for social issues, each story addresses important problems affecting individuals, families and society at large. The US premier of Damage – The Movie coincides with the US Domestic Violence Awareness Month and lends its’ voice to the International outcry against domestic violence. This is a ‘must see’ movie.
Directed by Moses Inwang and stars Uche Jombo (Kiss andTell, and Home in Exile), Kalu Ikeagwu (Rapt in Fire, Entanglement 1 – 4), Tonto Dikeh (Ropes of Fate 1 & 2, Battle for Pride 1 & 2) and Basorge Tariah Jr. (Blood on Ice 1 & 2, Playing Games 1 & 2). Uche Jombo is the Executive Producer and co-wrote the screenplay with Rita C. Onwurah. Ms. Jombo is a credited Screenwriter, Producer, recipient of Best Actress Awards (AfroNolly & City People Entertainment), UK Humanitarian Award, as well as other State honors. Damage is not the average Nollywood movie and is being produced to international standards.

Uche Jombo and Kalu Ikeagwu, delivered performances, which were simply impressive. It was one exciting and dramatic scene after the other for the whole length of the movie. The movie is scheduled to be premiered at Silverbird in Lagos on the 31st of July, and from the 26th through 29th, it will be premiered in the UK. USA premiere is scheduled for Sept/Oct and Canada (black history) Feb 2012.

DAMAGE:
Damage deals with the issue of domestic violence and the psychological effect it could have especially on the children. A man and his wife love each other immensely yet their day to day life can only be described as a ‘cat and mouse’ situation as they fight violently almost on a daily basis.
MY LIFE, MY DAMAGE:
‘My Life, My Damage’ deals with the consequences of drug abuse and HIV/AIDS. A young lady who lives a reckless life abroad as a drug addict is given a rude shock when she discovers that she’s HIV positive and now has to seek redemption for herself.
MY COUNTRY, THEIR DAMAGE:
‘My Country, Their Damage’ deals with the issue of human trafficking. A young and naive village girl has her dreams come true when an American returnee asks for her hand in marriage. With promises to take her abroad once she’s done with her education, the girl couldn’t have asked for a better future. But alas on getting there, she realizes that all that glitters isn’t exactly gold.
