A bomb alert was found in the toilet of an international airline. The incident took place on Tuesday, 7th July after a passenger saw the word ‘bomb’, written in red lipstick on mirror/toilet door, Daily Mail reports.
The alarm was raised about three hours into the flight Bangkok to Istanbul flight. Promptly, the pilot sent a message requesting an emergency landing and he was given permission to change course to Delhi. The plane containing about 134 passengers had to be evacuated and a search was conducted by security men in New Delhi’s airport.
The Airbus A330 passenger jet was permitted to resume its journey to Istanbul after Indian security agencies cleared it of containing explosives. Turkish Airlines has been a target of hoax bomb warnings in April and again over the weekend, a spokeswoman for the airline said.
