Benedict Cumberbatch appeared on the red carpet at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday. The British actor received the ensemble performance award for his role in “The Imitation Game”, a highly acclaimed film about British World War II hero and scientist, Alan Turing.
The handsome actor was joined by his also attractive fiancée, theater director Sophie Hunter, to whom, according to recent rumors, he has already proposed with a large diamond ring. PopSugar caught up with the “Sherlock” star on the red carpet and when asked about a forthcoming wedding he suggested that he and Sophie aren’t in a rush to make their relationship official: “One thing at a time – I’m playing Sherlock now, just about to start so my main focus is going to be on that”.
Keira Knightley was quite suprisingly not among the co-stars of the film that attended the festival. Benedict initially joked that “she mistakenly thought the award show was in Palm Beach, Florida and was therefore busy fighting off alligators and getting a sunburn”. The actor later admitted though, that Knightley was actually sick with a cold and wished her a “speedy recovery”.
