Benedict Cumberbatch is now a dad! The 38-year-old Sherlock star and wife Sophie Hunter, a 37-year-old actress and director, have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Cumberbatch’s rep told People magazine and USA Today on Saturday.
“Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son,” the outlets quoted the rep as saying in a statement. “We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks.”
The couple got married in a private wedding ceremony on February 14, Valentine’s Day, on the Isle of Wright in England in the presence of close friends and family. Click here if you missed it!
