All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari took to social media over the weekend to state his stance against election violence. In his latest tweet, he called on security to arrest and prosecute those who use this occasion to resort to violence. He also said that elections should not be seen as a war and politics is also not a battle.
He further stated: “We reiterate our calls against violence. Violence and hate speech by supporters of any of the candidates is not acceptable. I call on security agency to promptly arrest and prosecute all those found guilty of violence in any form. This is an urgent duty ”
