Just barely two weeks after Belgian striker Gregory Mertens collapsed from cardiac arrest , another Belgian player, Tim Nicot died on Monday, 11th May as reported by CNN.
23 years old Tim collapsed from cardiac arrest on Friday and was placed in induced coma before passing away on Monday. He was attached to the Belgian club Wilrijk Beerschot. The club has released an obituary statement announcing his passing.
“Wilrijk-Beerschot is in mourning. Tim Nicot has just died. We wish strength to his family and friends. #YNWA,” Wilrijk-Beerschot’s statement on Twitter reads in English.
