Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are expecting their second child, according to Us Weekly.
Mendes was spotted covering up a “burgeoning baby bump” during a photo shoot in February, according to Us Weekly’s sources. The 42-year-old model and actress gave birth to the couple’s first daughter, Esmeralda, on Sept. 12, 2014. Mendes and Gosling, 35, met on the set of their film The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011.
The couple has been very private about their personal life, having not shared any photos of Esmeralda with the public. Mendes did say in October during an appearance on Today that she would be taking a break from acting to focus on her family. “If I’m even like, ‘Oh, what should I wear? Or, should I do this project? All I have to think about is my daughter and her face, and I know the answer immediately,” she said. “She’s my moral compass in a way.”
In March, Eva talked aabout how motherhood has changed her style in her interview with People:”It’s about how I can get out of the house faster, or how I can make this easier on myself,” she told us. “It’s usually a dress because I don’t have to think about coordinating or putting together an outfit. I like a really comfortable dress I can throw on—and depending on what hour of the day or where I’m going I can wear a higher heel or no heel. A dress I can count on and slip on in a minute makes it more stress-free for me.”
Mendes’ last film appearance was in Gosling’s directorial debut Lost River in 2014. Meanwhile, Gosling can next be seen on the big screen opposite Russell Crowe in The Good Guys, hitting theaters on May 20.
