A Florida woman who was not expecting to give birth to one of the heaviest baby ever born at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida just set the record to actually become one of the largest ever born in the state, when she delivered Avery Ford who came to the world at a whopping 14.1 pounds after being in labor for 18 hours.
The 14-pound baby boy is Ford’s 3rd child, and based on CNN reports, the mother said she was not even aware that she was pregnant until the third trimester. “I had no nausea, no vomiting,” she said. “I didn’t gain any weight.”
“When I felt his head come out, I knew he was bigger than 10 pounds,” Maxxzandra Ford told WFTS, a CNN affiliate . “I was cussing up a storm.”
According to the mother, she knew her baby was going to be big, but she was extremely shocked to learn that he weighed just over 14 pounds. “‘What!?” she exclaimed at the news conference. “My baby weighed what?!”
