Today is the birthday of one of the most outstanding actresses in Nigeria – Kate Henshaw-Nuttall. She was born in 1971 in Cross River State (Nigeria) and she is the firstborn of a family of four. She had her primary education at St. Mary’s Private School, Lagos, and her secondary school education was at Federal Government Girl’s College in Calabar. She went on to study Medical Microbiology at the School of Medical Laboratory Sciences, LUTH (Lagos).
Her acting career started when she featured in her first major Nollywood movie, “When The Sun Sets” in 1993. Since then she has gone on to establish herself as one of the major actresses in Nigeria, as well as a fan favorite. Some of the movies she has starred in include Silent Night, Domitilla, Emotional Hazard, Games Men Play, Stronger Than Pain, The Rivals, and Throne of Obstacle.
In 2008, she won the African Movie Academy Awards award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, for her performance in The Rivals.
