Over the years, the black community have complained that they have received little or no recognition for the activities in Hollywood. Seems like this year, the Emmys have finally recognized their presence as African-Americans have received 18 nominations across all acting categories. Yesterday, Uzo Aduba who got a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy, and her show, Orange Is the New Black, also had a nod for Outstanding Comedy series announced that she was really glad on diversity shown in the 2015 Emmy Nominations saying:
‘Today Felt to Me Like, ALL Are Welcome!’
According to Deadline, the 18 black actors and actresses who got a nod are:

- E. Cathey, House of Cards (guest actor in a drama series)
- Cicely Tyson, How To Get Away With Murder (guest actress, drama)
- Khandi Alexander, Scandal (guest actress, drama)
