We came across a story published by USA Today a few days ago on an 18-year-old teenager (unnamed) in the Great Lakes Region who has been dating her Father for the past two years since reuniting with him and currently has plans of getting married to him. We know that incest is real, but thinking it still happens in this age and time is quite fascinating.
According to the report, the teen girl had not seen her father since she was about five years old, and 12 years after they reunited, she found herself overwhelmingly attracted to him. The daughter who confirmed that she lost her virginity to her Father a few days after the reunion plans on marrying him and moving to New Jersey where adult incest is legal.
The teen whose father at age 18 conceived her on prom night plans on having a big family with him and she mentioned that she is not bothered about the kids having genetic problems since “that happens when there’s years of inbreeding, life with the royal family.” She also explained that “incest has been around as long as humans have” and “everybody just needs to deal with it.”
In the 1980’s, a term called “Genetic Sexual Attraction” was coined in which it was stated that reuniting with long-lost relatives may and often cause sexual attractions. Also, in a study published by the Wired in 2010, the lead researcher reported that “people appear to be drawn to others who resemble their kin or themselves” and the reason why incest taboos exist in societies is to prevent this innate tendencies.
