Tom Cruise is not new to doing many of his own stunts in his action flicks, but for “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation,” he definitely took things to another level!
The “Mission Impossible” YouTube page posted an intense video on Monday showing Cruise actually clinging to the side of a plane during takeoff for a stunt in the upcoming film.
The behind-the-scenes video reveals the intense preparation for the amazing stunt and details the fear Cruise felt before taking off on the side of the plane.
“I couldn’t sleep the night before,” the actor says of the scene. “If something went wrong, I can’t get into the airplane until we land.”
This isn’t the first time Cruise has done an extreme performance to the extreme. Over his long career, the 52-year-old actor has become known for doing tough stunt work. For 2011’s “Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol,” for example, he famously dangled from the side of the world’s tallest building, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, wearing special gloves that allowed him to cling to the windows.
Watching the video was enough to make our palms sweaty!
