Vin Diesel gives His Daughter a Special Name after Best Friend ‘Paul Walker’ who died in a 2013 Car Crash!
The “Furious 7” star actor Vin Diesel and his longtime girlfriend Paloma Jimenez recently welcomed a new baby to their family, which he shared via social media. The actor, who already has a son and daughter with Jimenez, recently revealed the very special name he gave to the newest member of the family.
Diesel’s 3rd child with Jimenez was given a name that represents a tribute to his longtime friend and ‘Fast and Furious’ series cast member, Paul Walker.
“I named her Pauline,” he told news anchor, Natalie Morales.
“I’m telling you this because I love you,” Diesel said before sharing the news. “I know that you are a good soul, and I know that this is in good hands.”
“It felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world,” he said.
Walker died in a car crash in 2013, but Diesel said he felt like he was in the delivery room with him.
“He was in the room,” Diesel recalled. “There’s no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord. I just … knew he was there.”
Walker has long being a part of Diesel’s family. At a recent preview screening of “Furious 7,” he said that when Walker died in the 2013 car crash, “I lost my best friend. I lost my brother.”
“Furious 7,” which was Walker’s last film, opens in theaters nationwide on April 3.
