Vice News co-founder and CEO Shane Smith had an interview with the US President Barack Obama, during which the president covered several topics including ISIS, Iran, climate change, and other issues that have been at the fore front of the president’s agenda lately. Smith also brought up the “number one” question from their online viewers: When you are going to legalize marijuana?, and Obama’s response was:
“For young people, I’m sorry, but if you legalized marijuana it would be the biggest part of your legacy.”
“First of all, it shouldn’t be young people’s biggest priority,”
The president also said the youth should be more concerned about the economy, climate change, war and peace and then maybe somewhere “down at the bottom,” marijuana. Obama also dedicated the first 6 minutes to climate change, saying that he wanted the country to think of climate change more as an immediate and serious problem.
