The United States Women World Cup team defeated Germany in the semi-finals on Tuesday, 30th June, to advance to the finals of the FIFA Women World Cup scheduled to hold on 5th July. The first goal from the American team was scored by Carli Lloyd at the 69th minutes of the game.
The second goal was at the 84th minutes of the game by midfielder Kelley O’Hara. ABC News reported that earlier in the game, German forward Alexandra Popp came down with a bloody head after a hard bump with American midfielder Morgan Brian. Alexandra persisted in the game despite having a bruised head.
In the earlier semi-finals, team USA beat Colombia 2 – 0 and China 1 – 0 .
For the finals, USA will face Japan/England, when the champion for the 2015 FIFA Women World Cup will emerge!
