So sad! According to Washington Post, a 35-year-old Nigerian woman, Temitope Adebamiro, was arrested by the New Castle Police in Delaware, Philadelphia for stabbing and killing her 37-year-old Nigerian husband, Adeyinka Adebamiro inside their home over allegations of abuse and cheating. The woman accused her husband of constant abuse and also claimed he cheated on her with several women including her own sister and their nanny’s daughter.
The woman told investigators that she and her late husband had been married for 10 years and have two children between them but he had abused her for most of their marriage. She however stated that the real trouble between them began when she found out her husband was sleeping with her own sister as well as the daughter of their nanny and other women. She said that the nanny had lived with them for two years.
The incident occurred just after 12:30 a.m. at their residence, and police arrived at the scene after neighbors alerted authorities when screams and shouting was emanating from the couple’s home on Thursday April 23rd. When the police got to their home, they found Adeyinka in a pool of his own blood with a 4 inch single stab wound just below his neck that reportedly severed his carotid artery and jugular vein.
Temitope Adebamiro was charged with murder in the first degree and other related charges after the death of her 37-year-old husband, and has been committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution where she is being held without bail.
