The parent company of Mercedes, Diamler AG recently announced that it will be making the first ever pick-up truck, which will be available for sale by the end of the year, according to Fortune and reported in the Times. At the initial phase, the company will only make the Mercedes Benz pick up truck available in Europe, Latin America, South America and Australia.
“The Mercedes-Benz pickup will contribute nicely to our global growth targets,” Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche said in a statement. “We will enter this segment with our distinctive brand identity and all of the vehicle attributes that are typical of the brand with regard to safety, comfort, powertrains, and value.”
