Rihanna was a no-show at the last minute during the 58th annual Grammy Awards. According to TMZ, the super star had to cancel her performance on Monday night due to bronchitis. A doctor reportedly warned the singer that performing could have permanent damage on her vocal chords.
Rihanna was billed to perform her new song “Kiss It Better” about an hour into the show, with “The Late Late Show” James Cordon introducing her, but CBS’ telecast the program and cut straight to the Best Country album award with Corden joining host L.L Cool J.
Back in 2009, Rihanna and her then boy friend Chris Brown cancelled their Grammy appearances at the last minute following his brutal assault on the Rihanna in his car. Their reps initially told the press they had been involved in a car accident. Brown later plead guilty to felony assault.
