The British Academy Film Awards, popularly referred to as BAFTA held yesterday night at the Royal Opera House, in Covent Garden in London. Celebrities including Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Reese Whitherspoon, Michael Keaton, Julianne Moore, Felicity Jones, J.K. Simmons, Micheal Keaton, Mike Leigh and David Beckham were among those spotted at the event.
Eddie Redmayne won the leading actor award for his role in portraying Stephen Hawking in “The Theory Of Everything“. The best film award was presented by Tom Cruise and went to Boyhood, while Richard Linklater also walked away with the best director for the film, which was shot over 12 years. Julianne Moore was also named the best actress, while Mike Leigh was presented with a Bafta fellowship for a career spanning several acclaimed movies.
