Nigerian Hollywood based Filmmaker Pascal Atuma said yesterday at the Game 6 of the Western Conference semi-finals that took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Houston Rockets that this is the best NBA playoffs season since after the Michael Jordan era of NBA playoffs.
He went on to say:
“Look at the teams and the games, no one can predict who is going to win or who is going to lose. The games are ending up with buzzer beaters, series are contested to game sevens, some teams without any known superstars in them are playing their hearts out and competing with everyone. Take for instance the Atlanta Hawks, right now they are 3-2 against Washington Wizards, there is no known star in that Atlanta team, none but they are 3-2 against a team like the Washington Wizards, and have a very good chance of going to the Eastern conference finals. I am highly loving it and I am sure all NBA fans around the world is loving it too.
The popular Filmmaker who is also the Publicity Secretary of the Nollywood Producers Guild of America continued by saying:
“Look at what happened tonight here, all LA Clippers fans thought they will close out the Houston Rockets tonight, but look at it, the series is tired 3-3 and now we have a game seven in Houston on Sunday. How did the Clippers get here in the first place? They also played a game seven against the defending champions San Antonio Spurs, It is just beautiful. The Michael Jordan era excitement in basketball is back and I am very excited about it. Look at the way the Golden State Warriors are playing, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Washington Wizards etc, just awesome. I don’t know how the NBA managed to balance the teams out and make the game unpredictable to this magnitude, but they definitely got it right this time. As an avid NBA fan I must tell you guys I am having a good time and enjoying every second of this playoffs, this is it, this is what it is suppose to be, exciting, competitive , unpredictable, entertaining and engaging, full of suspense. The NBA got it right.”
Asked if he will travel to Houston for LA Clippers game seven against the Houston Rockets, the Abia State born Filmmaker and actor answered
“Definitely I will be there to cheer the Clippers to victory. The Clippers have never made it to the Western Conference Finals before, this is our chance to make it, so I will definitely make the trip by Gods grace”
