We shared with you last week the news of the 14-year-old Christian Pakistani Boy, Nouman Masih who was set on fire by two Muslims after asking for his Religion affiliation, and he truthfully answered he was a Chrisian! Click here if you missed it!
According to a recent report by Christian Post, the Pakistani Christian boy died Wednesday morning due to burns sustained during the attack. Although, Doctors said that Masih’s body was 55 percent burned and they thought he might be able to survive the burns, however, a prominent Pakistani human rights attorney Sardar Mushtaq Gill told Christian Post on Wednesday that the hospital did not have the burn treatment facilities that was needed to treat the severity of Masih’s wounds. Masih reportedly died around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The British Pakistani Christian Association chairman, Wilson Chowdhry, further confirmed to Christian Post that Nouman issued a “Christian forgiveness” to the men who perpetrated his attack before he died.
“He just said that he forgave them. That’s more like a Christian forgiveness, but he didn’t want his attackers to prevail and enact their crimes on anybody else. He was just being very magnanimous in a Christian way saying, ‘I have forgiven them but I want them to go through the justice system,'” Chowdhry said.
It is so touching that someone who sustained that much pain before he died still had the heart to forgive his attackers. Really inspiring!
