Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan visited Baga town in Borno State, and Mubi in Adamawa on Thursday, according to a Vanguard report. The town of Baga was recently reclaimed from Boko Haram by the Nigerian Military, and had suffered so much devastation from the militant group that an Amnesty International report claimed it was almost erased from the map. While visiting the two towns, the President addressed the officers of the Nigerian army, applauding them for their bravery and patriotism in fighting against Boko Haram.
