A nanny, Mary Akinloye, who allegedly kidnapped three kids – Aderomola (11 months old), Adedamola (4 years old), and Demola (6 years old) – in the Surulere area of Lagos State has demanded N15m from the victim’s parents, according to Punch. The family of the children were reportedly contacted on Thursday by the suspect and other members of the group demanding the stated ransom.
It was previously reported by Punch that the Orekoya family had posted information on OLX, an online sales portal, to request the service of a nanny. Akinloye indicated interest, gave the Orekoya’s the contacts of two people whom she said were her relatives and the family were to formalize the paper works with the relatives before the end of the week. However, after the nanny resumed for work on Tuesday, she was said to have taken the three children with her, while their parents were away, and has not returned since then.
Investigations are still ongoing and we join others in praying that these kids be returned safe and sound to their parents.
