Mariah Carey received her long overdue star – the 2,556th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday afternoon, but her son, Roc deftly crashed the iconic photo by throwing tantrums and wouldn’t leave without some major prodding.
Along with her kids, Monroe & Moroccan aka Roc & Roe, several other big names in the entertainment industry including, Lee Daniels (Empire’s director) Brett Ratner (movie director), and LA Reid (music executive), later joined her in celebrating the big milestone.
45 year old Carey rocked an embellished black dress with a plunging sheer neckline to the ceremony as she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after over 25 successful years in the music industry.
Really, you’re melting my heart. You’re making me cry, and that’s why I’m keeping on my sunglasses. But I cannot thank you enough. This is a huge honor, she said.
