Kanye West showed a mellowed down side of himself to his fans yesterday, when he took to Twitter to apologize to Beck after he previously said the artiste was being “disrespectful” by not turning over the “Album of the Year Award” to Beyonce after the award was presented to him. I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck.

Also, in an interview on BBC Radio 1, the outspoken and often construed-as-arrogant rapper touched on his overreaction at the Grammys, when he blasted Beck for winning Album of the Year – saying that he misconstrued what happened with the musician. He concluded by saying his outburst may have been the wrong approach. “The Grammy’s sell commercial time. It’s a ridiculous proposition what they try to get away with. They aren’t the pinnacle, they are the assistant. Us as artists are the pinnacle. I hadn’t been in a few years. The Grammys are like an ex-girlfriend, the minute you get in the car with them you want to go straight back home.”
Not only did West show a softer side of himself on the Radio Show by admitting he may have treated Beck wrongly, but he also got very emotional and actually broke into tears as he spoke to radio host Zane Lowe, about one of his mentors, late fashion professor Louise Wilson.
