Sunday’s 2015 Golden Globe Awards came with a number of delighted winners(Click here if you missed this!) and spectacular red carpet appearances (Click here if you missed this!), which was also an evening full of jokes by both the hosts and presenters. But Jeremy Renner’s “one-liner” about Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Globes’ was probably the most discussed joke-gone-bad after the ceremony, as his play-words were not that well received by some.
The actor, who has been nominated for the Academy Award twice, while introducing an award decided to appreciate his co-presenter, Jennifer Lopez’s breasts by both taking a quick glance and also referring to them as the “globes”. In particular, the star’s exact phrase was: “You got the Globes, too”.
Comedian, Sara Schaefer was among the numerous people who took to Twitter to express their disapproval of Renner’s remark: “Jeremy Renner wins best supporting creep #GoldenGlobes.”

However, the “The Hurt Locker” and “The Avengers” star, shot back at his critics with a reminder that he was just intending to be humorous and not to offend anyone, tweeting and posting the picture below: “A reminder not to take this shit so serious. Thanks Jennifer — You’re a gem.x”.
