Hideyuki Noguchi, 54, a Japanese man who reportedly does not have any known medical training or related credentials, had been posing as a Doctor conducting a sleep study and in the process drugged and raped at least 39 women. Police officers said the total number of victims may be over 100, although only 39 has been confirmed.
According to CNN, the Police said they believe Noguchi lured his victims to hotels and resorts in Tokyo, Chiba, Osaka, Tochigi and Shizuoka under the guise of conducting “clinical research measuring blood pressure during sleep.” The victims that were assaulted in this case were mainly volunteers who responded to Noguchi’s online ads. It was reported that he alledgedly gave the women sedatives, and sexually assaulted them while they were passed out.
Noguchi met his nemesis when videos, which earned him an equivalent of $85,000, surfaced on porn sites, and he was later taken into custody according to Tokyo Broadcasting System.
