The ongoing fuel scarcity situation in Nigeria is impacting the country and its people in more ways than ever imagined. First, flights were cancelled by Airlines, then radio stations started shutting down early, and the last we heard, Nigeria’s leading cellphone provider also said on Sunday it urgently needs diesel to prevent shutting down services countrywide.
Triple MG music artist Iyanya is the latest to be hit real hard by the fuel situation in Nigeria and he’s taken to Twitter to lament on how this lingering fuel situation has affected him! The singer was meant to perform in Liberia for the Ebola Free Concert but was unable to travel for that purpose.
He shared the tweets below:
I was meant to perform today in Liberia for the Ebola Free Concert, was due to travel on Friday that didn’t happen, Saturday no way.

All this was caused by Flight cancellations by one of the Airlines. Now the show has to be rescheduled for a later date. #sad

We hope the situation is brought under control soon, so that the country can return to its normal operations as soon as possible!
