HOUSTON – The All Nigeria Nationals in the Diaspora (ANNID), a non-partisan, pan-Nigerian NGO hosted a Town Hall meeting on Saturday, March 2, 2013, in the Banquet Hall of Hilton Houston Westchase, Houston, Texas; featuring International music star ‘ D’banj.
One of the focal goals of this international event was to bring together stakeholders, Nigerian indigenes at home and abroad and friends of Nigeria in the energy capital of the world, Houston. The main theme of the Town Hall meeting was to promote the ANNID program “Amnesty and Peace in the Niger Delta: Human Capacity Building for Nigeria Development” in the United States.
Hon. Kingsley Kuku, who is currently the special adviser to Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan on the Niger Delta Affairs, and the Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Program spoke with so much excitement, humor, and enthusiasm for sustaining peace in the Nigeria Delta through this ANNID program.
Following this meeting, Nigeria’s international artist D’Banj performed for the audience and it was such a memorable experience for the fans that attended. Random interview with some of the special guests, and the general highlights of the ANNID town hall meeting is captured in the video below.
