Fans of the series, Game of Thrones are to prep up for more heartbreak as a new trailer of the series has just been released. The new trailer has teased that witty and Charming Tyrion Lannister may be following Jon Snow in to the land of the dead.
The scary one minute clip is set in the Hall of Faces beneath the House Of Black And White, where the Faceless Men keep the visages of the deceased to wear as disguises.
Whispers of dead characters echo as the camera makes its way through the dark candle-lit columns, before it centers on one death mask in particular: Ned Stark.
‘The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword,’ Sean Bean’s solemn voice can be heard, in a quote from season one before he himself was beheaded by an executioner under orders of Joffrey Baratheon.
The face and voice of his son Robb Stark – played by Richard Madden until he was betrayed and murdered at his own wedding in season three – can next be seen and heard: ‘I’ve won every battle, but I’m losing this war.’
Next was his mother Catelyn (Michelle Fairley), whose throat was cut minutes later in the same episode, whispers: ‘Show them how it feels to lose what they love’ – advice she once gave to her eldest son as he waged war on the Iron Throne.
The family’s mortal enemy and pompous ex-king, Joffrey Baratheon, not seen since he was poisoned to death at his own wedding, can next be heard sneering: ‘Everyone is mine to torment.’
The next face on the wall is a sight most upsetting to fans, especially since it’s fifth in a sequence of people who are most definitely dead so far: Jon Snow’s.
The long night is coming and the dead come with it,’ Snow declares, as the Tyrion Lannister’s dead visage comes into focus.
Since he was betrayed by the Night’s Watch and stabbed numerous times in the final scene of season five, Game Of Thrones fans have clung to any theory that suggests the Snow may still be yet alive.
But the final shot of the trailer will either be seen as hope that Snow is alive… or a worrying sign another favourite character is about to be killed off.
