During a concert in Tijuana, Mexico on Saturday night 30th May, Enrique Iglesias’ fingers got sliced as he attempted to grab a drone. The drone was used to give the viewers a better shot and Enrique tried to adjust it to a better view by using his hand and something went wrong and his fingers got sliced, according to a report by Yahoo News.
His tour agent released a statement to Associated Press that he was given cursory treatment by the side of the stage and was advised to end the show. He however insisted to continue his performance for another 30 minutes, but was bleeding throughout the time and some of his fans captured his shirt stained in blood which was shared on social media.
“During the show a drone is used to get crowd shots and some nights Enrique grabs the drone to give the audience a Point of View shot. Something went wrong and he had an accident. He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show.”
It was also reported that his injury is not serious and he’s currently being treated by a specialist in Los Angeles.
“He was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to L.A. to see a specialist,” the statement read.
His concert in Tijuana is part of his ‘Sex and World Tour‘ and the next schedule will be in Mexico City. His agent did not elaborate whether he can make to the next tour or not.
