It was on December 15, 1984 when, the then 22-year-old Eddie Murphy, made his first appearance on Saturday Night Live (SNL). Now, 31 years later, it appears that the 53-year old actor will finally return to ‘SNL‘, the show that helped him become one of Hollywood’s most famous stars.
Murphy shared the news, in an interview with Roland Martin of “NewsOne”, announcing that he will be appearing on the 40th anniversary special of the show that will air on February 15, on NBC. “It just never worked out where the timing was right for me to do it“, Eddie answered when asked about why he has not appeared in ‘SNL’ for so many years. “They’re actually having a 40th anniversary, I think, in two weeks. I’m going to that, and that’ll be the first time I’ve been back since I left,” the ‘Beverly Hills Cop‘ star admitted.
We can’t wait to watch this special anniversary episode and see what Eddie Murphy and the rest of the SNL cast have in store for us.
