Darren Wilson, the white police officer at the heart of the Ferguson shooting that was not indicted by the Grand Jury for the murder of Michael Brown, an unarmed black american teenager has resigned from the Ferguson Police Department. According to a report by NY Times, his resignation letter made references to concerns on safety of other police officers and neighboring residents and he hoped that this action by him will enable the community heal, said his Lawyer.
Wilson, 28, was said to have worked for the police department in that city since 2011.
