According to Channels TV, the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA) to vacate the residential home of an Ogun State Senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu, who is currently wanted in the United States over alleged drug charges.
According to the report, the Court made the order on Tuesday while ruling on an application filed through Mr Kashamu’s lawyer, Ajibola Oluyede. After the case filing, Justice Ibrahim Buba summoned both men to appear before him on Tuesday to explain why they disobeyed a court order to maintain status quo on an alleged plan to abduct Mr Kashamu and extradite him to the United States to face drug trafficking charges.
Kashamu was reportedly placed under house arrest last week Saturday by NDLEA officials prior to his appearance in court for extradition proceedings. Click here if you missed it!
