Chris Evans surprised a brave 9-year-old super fan of ‘Captain America’ who is battling cancer. CBS Boston reported that the 33-year-old actor made Kenny Botting’s day, showing up at the cancer center to spend time with the young fan, who has a brain tumor. For the last 3 weeks, Kenny has been living at Christopher’s Haven, a specialized center for children who are battling cancer located in Boston, with his mother and sister.
As soon as “Captain America” arrived for the surprise, he immediately asked “Which one’s Kenny ?” and the little boy’s eyes lit up when he saw his favorite superhero in front of him. Botting could not contain his elation when Evans not only gave him some gifts but also took pictures and even let the boy tie him up for a game of “superhero vs villain”.
Evans, later spoke about meeting young Kenny: “It’s their strength that gives me strength – No matter what hurdles are in my life it’s nothing compared to what these families go through”. “So any way I can bring a smile it’s worth it”, the star added.
Here is what Kenny’s mother said, as she thanked Evans for the visit: “It was so generous for Chris to come and spend time with us”.
