In an interview with CNN, Military analyst Spider Marks spoke on why he thinks the United States is not doing enough to stop Boko Haram in Nigeria. This conversation was triggered because of the discrepancy in the media and world wide coverage between thousands who have died since the insurgency of the militant group Boko Haram in Nigeria in comparison to the unprecedented, awkward and barbaric act that also happened in France which led to the death of a total of 17 people in the Paris massacre.
Although, it is a known fact that the United States has not really done anything substantial to assist in fighting Boko Haram in Nigeria, but CNN Military Analyst, Maj. Gen James “Spider” Marks recently affirmed our suspicions when he stated that the Boko Haram terrorist saga in Nigeria has not been of primary significance in the United States which he confirmed by saying “It’s not a priority, that’s the problem,”…”We’re committed elsewhere in the world, Black West Africa is not a priority, very sad, very hard to say, but that’s the case right now. It’s a regional issue.”
