Really, age is not a barrier to learning. This 100-year-old woman has proven this saying by taking bold steps to learn how to write her name.
According to The Independent, Zhao Shunjin, from Hangzhou in eastern China who never attended school has learnt to write her name for the first time.
Her zeal to learn pushed her to take up writing classes in June, where she got a Literacy Certificate. The report is that when the opportunity for literacy class arose in her local area, Shunjin took two hours of classes per day and within 10 days had learned more than 100 characters – including reading and writing her name, home address and a series of fruit and vegetables.
The Independent citing CNN reported that her eldest son, LuoRongsheng, 70, said his mother has never been to school her entire life. “She is old and longsighted, but was so determined to learn this time”
It is always amazing to read about other people’s success stories! Despite her age, she overcame her fears and improved on herself.
Great job!!!!
