10-year-old Nigerian-British Math Whizz-Kid ‘Esther Okade’ starts College & plans to bag a PhD at Age 13!
Esther Okade does everything you’ll expect of a normal 10-year-old youngster like dressing up as Elsa from “Frozen,” playing with Barbie dolls, going to the park or shopping with parents. However, this Nigerian-British math whizz-kid stands out among her peers as she happens to be one of the very few 10-year-old’s that’s already a university undergraduate.
According to CNN, this talented 10-year-old enrolled at the Open University, a UK-based distance learning college, in January and she is already top of the class, as she recently scored 100% in a recent exam.
“It’s so interesting. It has the type of maths I love. It’s real maths — theories, complex numbers, all that type of stuff,” she giggles. “It was super easy. My mum taught me in a nice way.”
She adds: “I want to (finish the course) in two years. Then I’m going to do my PhD in financial maths when I’m 13. I want to have my own bank by the time I’m 15 because I like numbers and I like people and banking is a great way to help people.”
Esther also confirmed that her parents did not push her to starting university early. “I actually wanted to start when I was seven.” But my mum was like, “you’re too young, calm down.” Her mother finally agreed after three years of begging.
This outstanding youngster plans on finishing the course in two years and afterwards, going to do her PhD in financial maths when she is 13. AMAZING!!!
